Is it good idea to connect production and standby Exadatas by Infiniband ?

Some time ago I used to think that the two Exadatas (production and standby) is better to bind by IB.
But from now i think otherwise:



"Primary and standby databases should NOT reside on the same IB Fabric"

Does DEALLOCATE UNUSED or SHRINK SPACE will free space occupied by LOB segment?
